In the beginning of August, we embarked on a journey to visit and to capture a few natural and manmade wonders of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro, the two former Yugoslavian republics. The trip lasted for nine hard and enjoyable days. Hard, since we were always chasing sunrise and blue light after sunset and therefore sleeping was at the bottom of our priority list. The term enjoyable should be read as kind local people, excellent food, drinks and of course beautiful landscape and cityscape scenes.

I want to thank Luka for planning the whole trip and never the last to both of you for putting up with me. Have no fear; I did thank myself for putting up with you. What a great crowd we are. Can’t wait for the next year’s trip.

The happy crowd (S.L. Luka, B.B. Ana & Me):

For the third time, I went on a Feel the Phil Collins Tribute Show. This time the concert took place in Ljubljana. One can always feel the special energy when visiting similar events in Summer Theatre Križanke. In addition, the girls and guys from the band did they part more than great. The positive vibes were coming from both sides, the stage and from the crowd. Awesome performance. Once again, it has been a great experience.

It’s been a while since I took my camera to a concert. The gig took place in Maribor and Rok offered me a roof over my head, to avoid driving home after. The group, presented on images was really good for my taste. The lyrics, the music and the performance were great. In the end, we suffered from a minor hearing disorder and the beer started to kick in, but we had a great time and I hope we will do this again soon.

The plan was to visit the coastal city Piran. Morning sun, soft light and so on… But Ana was all about mountains and hills covered in snow. So we decided to go and visit Velika planina. Getting up early (around 4.00) was the easiest thing, believe me. When we arrived it was still pitch dark. The temperatures were way below zero and the wind was picking up by the minute. While I was puffing like an old locomotive, trying to catch a breath and the team, I was dreaming about warm temperatures by the sea. By the time we reached the plateau, the wind was so strong, I was beginning to feel like a member of an expedition on the way to Alaska.

But the air was so fresh, so clean and the sunrise was just magnificent. Mother nature presented herself in all of her glory. We spent the next few hours just admiring and taking photos of a beautiful landscape and snowy mountains. Although, I didn’t like the idea at first, the trip was great. Not to mention a group of extremists.

After almost a year of using the WordPress.com as a host for my photoblog, I decided it’s time to take a step forward. I wanted to explore those endless possibilities which you can use as a self hosting WP blog.  So, I rented some space and started a new photoblog from scratch. I chose a real nifty design, clean and readable and of course it’s black. I already published first post and uploaded some photos. So be sure to visit my blog at:
